Implementing Eco-Friendly Performance, SG Wins the 2022 Green Industry Award from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia
Rembang, November 29, 2022 - PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) earned another remarkable achievement by winning the Best Performance Award for Green Industry Implementation from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia for its commitment to implementing green industry principles in the company's production processes and business activities.
Ignatius Warsito, the Acting Director General of the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Textile Industries (IKFT) of the Ministry of Industry, awarded the award in person to Reni Wulandari, the Production Director of PTSG, at the Ministry of Industry Building, Jakarta, on Friday (25/11/2022).
The Production Director of PTSG, Reni Wulandari, expressed her gratitude, pride, and appreciation for the 2022 Best Performance Award for Green Industry Implementation from the Ministry of Industry.
"Thank God, we are proud and grateful for this prestigious award. The proper implementation of the green industry in the production process at PTSG is expected to impact the company positively," said Wulandari in her press release (28/11).
She continued that PTSG is committed to consistently prioritizing efforts to use resources effectively, efficiently, and sustainably in its business processes.
"PTSG also implements technological innovations that refer to 3R (reduce, reuse, and recycle) in the production process, coupled with the use of new and renewable energy (NRE) by utilizing solar panels, as well as fulfilling environmental quality standards on waste and emissions," she explained.
Meanwhile, an Expert Staff of the Minister of Industry for Business Climate and Investment, Andi Rizaldi, stated in his remarks that this award serves as an appreciation for industrial companies that have created a green industry and proved their commitment to consistently and sustainably implementing green industry principles.
"The Ministry of Industry regularly organizes a Green Industry award program with the assessment utilizing performance indicators that are measurable, objective, and accountable," said Rizaldi representing the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia.
